Heart Healthy Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup blueberries, frozen

  • 5 oz (1/3 package) silken tofu

  • 1 cup vanilla almond milk, unsweetened

  • 1 Tbsp chia or flax seeds

  • 1/2 banana

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • Vanilla plant-based protein powder, 1 scoop (optional)


Directions

1. Add all ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend for 30-60 seconds, until smooth.

 
Notes:
  • Be sure to use silken tofu, not firm, to achieve the right texture.

  • Always purchase organic tofu when possible.

  • Blueberries can be substituted with any berry.

  • Low-fat or non-fat milk or another unsweetened, non-dairy option can be substituted.

  • Flax seeds can be substituted for chia or hemp seeds.
